Mission
CSST is dedicated to conducting research and reporting on issues of geopolitical significance in relation to Sri Lanka and the South Asian Region. The institute seeks to promote understanding of these issues and to converse knowledge and insights about it to policy makers, the business community, academia, and civil society in Sri Lanka and beyond.
Objectives
The objectives of the Centre for Strategic Studies — Trincomalee include the following:
To provide a free and open forum for the discussion and debate of critical national, regional, and global issues.
Serve as a hub for shaping public opinion with liberal principles.
To build a meaningful bridge between Think Tanks based on mutual understanding and interest.
To help develop the necessary tools and ideas needed to face modern challenges including politics, human rights, globalization, and environmental challenges
